House on the River was originally a full service fly-fishing lodge. Begun in 1996, it soon became the  fishing destination for anglers on the upper Sacramento river. Converted to a vacation rental in 2002, it is now a private facility.

You can be on the lake with your boat in less than 15 minutes or fish for large, wild trout just outside the front door. House on the River also features a beautiful sandy beach within easy walking distance of the lodge that's perfect for kids, teenagers and adults.

Surrounded by National Forrest and located on its own private mesa overlooking the river this lodge is the only structure on the water for over 25 miles.
